- All presentations will be converted to PDF before posting. For oral presentations, we will do the necessary format conversions, and ensure that fonts and graphics are preserved correctly. Either landscape or portrait formats are OK, and use of color is encouraged. After conversion, the size will be US letter (8.5 x 11 inches).
- We already have MS-PowerPoint (PPT) versions of (almost) all of the oral presentations. If you wish simply to have your PPT version posted, please send us a confirming e-mail, to David Bui. If you want to provide an edited version, please submit one to our ftp site (see below). For PPT, please use the "Pack and Go" feature to include fonts,
linked files, etc. If your PowerPoint presentation was prepared on a Macintosh computer, it would also be helpful to include separate image files for any TIFF images you have included in the PowerPoint file.
- We can handle a variety of formats, including MS-Word, PDF and Postscript. To avoid problems, please include fonts when saving in PDF or postscript.
- Animations. If you showed animations during your talk, we will be happy to post them to our website, separate from the PDF.
- Authors of poster papers should re-format their material to be readable when rendered as a set of letter-size pages on a computer screen. Please don't simply reduce it to a single letter-size page.
- The ftp site is no longer online. Please e-mail your presentation to David Bui.
- Release forms:
Every paper that we post must be accompanied by a completed form, approved and signed by your institution, allowing us to place it out our website. Hardcopies of this form were handed out at the conference. (Some didn't have a
signature line, but just sign it anyway). We will not post your paper without this form. The Release Form is available as PDF file. It can be faxed or sent by hardcopy.
- Due date:
The first round of papers was posted on November 1. We will do a second and final update around December 1.
